Indications
Pisdeno is indicated for the treatment of certain supraventricular arrhythmias, including paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT). It is used in emergency situations for the rapid conversion of these arrhythmias to a normal sinus rhythm. Adenosine acts as an antiarrhythmic agent by affecting electrical conduction in the heart, which allows for the restoration of a normal heart rhythm. Furthermore, it can be used in diagnostic tests in the context of myocardial perfusion studies and in certain cardioversion procedures.
Composition
Each ampule contains 6 mg of adenosine as the active ingredient. Excipients: sodium chloride, water for injection.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to adenosine or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with second- or third-degree AV block, Stokes-Adams syndrome, or those with sick sinus syndrome without a pacemaker. It is also contraindicated in patients with bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Pisdeno to patients with heart failure, coronary artery disease, or those taking medications that may affect heart function. Heart rate and blood pressure monitoring are recommended during drug administration. In case of adverse reactions, administration should be stopped immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
