Indications
Pinadrina is indicated in the treatment of anaphylactic reactions, as an emergency response to anaphylaxis. It is also used in situations of cardiac arrest and in the management of severe asthmatic crises. Additionally, it can be indicated in the treatment of severe bradycardia and as a vasoconstrictor in local anesthesia, improving the effectiveness and duration of the anesthetic effect. Its use must be supervised by a trained physician, given the critical nature of the conditions it treats.
Composition
Each ampoule contains 1 mg of epinephrine (adrenaline) in 1 ml of injectable solution.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to epinephrine or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe pre-existing heart diseases, such as arrhythmias or coronary artery disease, as well as in those with an overactive thyroid. Its use should be avoided in patients with uncontrolled hypertension.
Precautions
Pinadrina should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, heart disease, hypertension, vascular diseases, and in those undergoing treatment with other medications that may interact with epinephrine. The patient's cardiovascular response should be monitored during treatment. Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be evaluated by the physician, considering the potential benefits and risks.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
