Indications
Pinadrina is indicated in the treatment of severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, and in emergency situations requiring a rapid increase in blood pressure. It is also used in the management of certain types of cardiac arrhythmias, in the treatment of cardiac arrest, and as a bronchodilator in conditions like asthma. Epinephrine acts as an adrenergic agonist, stimulating both alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors, resulting in rapid vasoconstriction and bronchodilation.
Composition
Each ampoule contains: Epinephrine (1 mg/ml), excipients q.s.p. 1 ml.
Contraindications
Pinadrina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to epinephrine or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in patients with certain types of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as in those with severe heart disease or uncontrolled hypertension.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Pinadrina in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, or in those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It is essential to monitor the clinical response and vital signs during drug administration.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
