Indications
Pepto Bismol Plus suspension is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea, including traveler's diarrhea. It is also used to relieve gastrointestinal discomfort associated with indigestion, such as nausea and stomach upset. Its action is based on the formation of a protective barrier on the gastric mucosa, helping to reduce inflammation and irritation. In addition, it may be useful in the treatment of gastritis and gastroenteritis, providing temporary relief of associated symptoms.
Composition
Each 100 ml of suspension contains: 3.5 g of bismuth subsalicylate, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bismuth subsalicylate or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of peptic ulcers or active gastrointestinal bleeding. It is also contraindicated in children under 12 years of age, as well as in those with viral infections, especially influenza.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal insufficiency or those taking anticoagulants, as bismuth subsalicylate may interfere with coagulation. It is advisable to avoid its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless medically indicated. It is suggested to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 48 hours.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
