Indications

Pedialyte Sr45 is an oral rehydration solution indicated for the prevention and treatment of mild to moderate dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting, or strenuous exercise. This product is especially useful in situations of fluid and electrolyte loss, providing rapid and effective replenishment. Its use is recommended for children and adults who present symptoms of dehydration, as well as in situations where adequate hydration is crucial, such as in hot climates or during prolonged physical activities.

Composition

Each 100 mL of Pedialyte Sr45 contains: purified water, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, glucose, and natural strawberry flavoring. This combination allows for rapid absorption of fluids and electrolytes, helping to restore the body's fluid balance.

Contraindications

Pedialyte Sr45 is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe dehydration requiring intravenous treatment or in patients with medical conditions that prevent adequate absorption of electrolytes and fluids.

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with kidney or heart disease, as well as in those with diabetes, due to its glucose content. It is advisable to consult a doctor before starting treatment if adverse symptoms occur or if dehydration persists.

Storage
