Indications
Pariet is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production. It is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus causing symptoms such as heartburn and regurgitation. It is also indicated for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. Additionally, it is useful in the management of gastritis and as a prophylactic in patients requiring long-term treatment with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Composition
Each Pariet tablet contains 20 mg of rabeprazole sodium as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Pariet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rabeprazole or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to proton pump inhibitor medications.
Precautions
Special precautions should be taken in patients with severe liver diseases, as the elimination of the medication may be affected. Monitoring is recommended for patients receiving long-term treatment, due to the potential risk of hypomagnesemia and other electrolyte imbalances. Furthermore, it is important to consider the possibility of adverse effects related to NSAID use in patients undergoing concomitant treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
