Indications

Ozempic (semaglutide) is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medication is used in patients who have not achieved adequate blood glucose control with metformin or in combination with other oral antidiabetics. Additionally, Ozempic has been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

Composition

Each Ozempic pen contains semaglutide as the active ingredient and excipients that facilitate its administration and stability.

Contraindications

Ozempic is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to semaglutide or to any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of acute pancreatitis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of thyroid disease or pancreatitis. It is important to monitor renal function in patients treated with Ozempic, as well as its use in combination with other antidiabetic medications. The use of this medication in patients with severe renal impairment or on dialysis is not recommended.

Storage

Ozempic should be stored in its original packaging to protect it from light. It is recommended to keep it refrigerated between 2 °C and 8 °C. Once opened, it can be stored at room temperature (below 30 °C) for a maximum of 56 days.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
