Indications

Oroxadin is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemias, specifically for the reduction of high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. Its use is recommended in patients with hypertriglyceridemia and in those with an altered lipid profile that has not responded adequately to lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise. This medication works by inhibiting the production of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels.

Composition

Each Oroxadin capsule contains 100 mg of ciprofibrate as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and release of the medication.

Contraindications

Oroxadin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofibrate or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active liver disease, severe renal insufficiency, or in those who are being treated with other fibrates, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, and in those taking other medications that may affect lipid metabolism. It is important to periodically monitor blood lipid levels during treatment with Oroxadin. Liver function should also be evaluated before and during treatment.

Storage

Store the medication in its original packaging, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
