Indications
Oranor is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is effective in urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis, as well as in gastrointestinal infections and some types of respiratory infections. Norfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, which is essential for the growth and reproduction of bacteria.
Composition
Each Oranor tablet contains 400 mg of norfloxacin as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Oranor is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to norfloxacin or any other component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in children and adolescents, as well as in pregnant or lactating women, except under strict medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of central nervous system disorders, especially seizures. In addition, renal function should be assessed before starting treatment, as norfloxacin is primarily eliminated via this route. It is important to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight during treatment, as it may increase the risk of photosensitivity.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product out of reach of children.
