Indications

Openvas Co. is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication combines two active ingredients: olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Their combined action provides an effective reduction in blood pressure, improving control in patients with hypertension. Additionally, it can be used as combination therapy in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single antihypertensive agent. It is important that treatment be supervised by a doctor, who can adjust the dose according to the patient's clinical response.

Composition

Each Openvas Co. tablet contains: 40 mg of olmesartan medoxomil and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide. Excipients include: lactose, starch, and other inactive components.

Contraindications

Openvas Co. is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components, as well as in those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or in those who are being treated with potent diuretics.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, liver disease, or those who may experience severe hypotension. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and serum electrolytes is recommended during treatment. Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, out of the reach of children.
