Indications
Omifin is indicated for the treatment of infertility in women with anovulation or irregular menstrual cycles. It is primarily used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome and in cases of infertility of unknown origin. Omifin acts as a selective estrogen receptor modulator, promoting ovulation by stimulating the production of hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle. Its use must be supervised by a fertility specialist.
Composition
Each Omifin tablet contains 50 mg of clomiphene as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in women with known allergy to clomiphene or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of vaginal bleeding of unknown origin, non-functional ovarian cysts, and in women with liver diseases or renal insufficiency. It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled thyroid disorders and in those with pituitary tumors.
Precautions
Medical follow-up is recommended during treatment with Omifin. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of thromboembolic disease, as clomiphene may increase the risk of such conditions. It is important to inform your doctor about any medications you are taking and your complete medical history, including mental health problems and previous gynecological conditions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
