Indications
Olumiant (Baricitinib) is indicated for the treatment of adults with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response to or intolerance to one or more disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), including methotrexate. This medication works by inhibiting the activity of JAK (Janus kinase) enzymes, resulting in reduced inflammation and improved symptoms associated with the disease. In addition, its use has been studied in the management of alopecia areata and other autoimmune conditions, always under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Olumiant tablet contains 4 mg of Baricitinib as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and other inactive components that facilitate the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Olumiant is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Baricitinib or to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active infections, untreated tuberculosis, or in those with a history of thromboembolic events.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Olumiant to patients with a history of thromboembolic disease, hepatic, or renal impairment. Regular monitoring of hemoglobin levels, white blood cells, and platelets is recommended during treatment. It is important to assess the patient's immune status, as the use of Baricitinib may increase the risk of infections.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
