Indications
Nutracort lotion is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions that require the use of topical corticosteroids. Its use is recommended for conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, skin inflammations, and allergic skin reactions. Hydrocortisone, its active ingredient, works by reducing inflammation, redness, and itching. It is important that this medication be used under the supervision of a doctor, who can determine the appropriate duration and frequency of application based on the patient's specific condition.
Composition
Each 100 mL of lotion contains: 1 g of hydrocortisone as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Nutracort lotion is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in untreated skin infections, cutaneous tuberculosis, or in viral, fungal, or bacterial skin lesions. Its use on areas with extremely thin skin or on the face should be done with caution.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Nutracort lotion with caution in patients with a history of skin infections or diabetes mellitus. It is important to avoid applying it to open wounds or mucous membranes. The possibility of systemic side effects should also be considered, especially with prolonged use or on large areas of skin. Application should be limited to the affected area and the recommended dosage should not be exceeded.
Storage
Store Nutracort lotion in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
