Indications
Nulytely is indicated for bowel preparation prior to diagnostic procedures, such as colonoscopy. Its formulation is designed to facilitate bowel evacuation by inducing a state of controlled diarrhea. The use of this medication is essential to cleanse the bowel and allow clear visualization during endoscopic procedures. In addition, it can be used in specific cases of severe constipation, where rapid and effective relief of intestinal transit is required.
Composition
Each sachet of Nulytely contains: 100 g Macrogol, 3.6 g Sodium Citrate, 1.5 g Sodium Bicarbonate, 0.74 g Potassium Chloride, and artificial cherry flavoring.
Contraindications
Nulytely is contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, severe inflammatory bowel disease, and in those with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with swallowing disorders or in those with conditions that may be aggravated by rapid bowel evacuation.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with heart or kidney disease or those undergoing diuretic treatment, as fluid and electrolyte loss can be significant. It is important to maintain adequate hydration during treatment. In case of adverse symptoms, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
