Indications
Nubrenza is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease in adults. Its use is intended to improve motor symptoms in patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease. It can also be used as an adjunctive therapy in patients who do not respond adequately to conventional therapy or who experience fluctuations in symptom control. This medication acts as a dopamine receptor agonist, contributing to the regulation of motor activity and the control of symptoms associated with this neurodegenerative disease.
Composition
Each Nubrenza patch contains 4 mg of rotigotine as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients that facilitate adhesion and release of the drug over 24 hours.
Contraindications
Nubrenza is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rotigotine or any of the excipients of the product. It should not be used in patients with a history of motor control disorders or severe dyskinesia episodes. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated, unless explicitly indicated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when administering Nubrenza to patients with a history of heart problems, hypertension, or psychiatric illnesses. The appearance of possible side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness, or mood changes, should be carefully evaluated. Regular monitoring is important to adjust the dose if necessary.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
