Indications
Nubrenza is a medication indicated for the treatment of idiopathic and secondary Parkinson's disease, as well as for the treatment of restless legs syndrome. This medication acts as a dopamine receptor agonist, helping to improve motor function and reduce symptoms associated with these conditions. Its use is indicated in adult patients, and it is important to initiate treatment under the supervision of a neurologist.
Composition
Each Nubrenza patch contains 2 mg of rotigotine as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as polymers and other additives that allow for adhesion and controlled release of the drug through the skin.
Contraindications
Nubrenza is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rotigotine or any component of the patch. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of psychosis, as well as in those who experience severe adverse reactions to other dopaminergic agonists. Use in combination with certain medications such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) can cause dangerous interactions and should therefore be avoided.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, psychiatric disorders, or those who are being treated with other medications that affect the central nervous system. Regular medical monitoring during treatment is essential. Treatment should not be discontinued abruptly, as this may cause adverse reactions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
