Indications
Novovartalon is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in osteoarticular conditions, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The combination of glucosamine and meloxicam offers a dual approach: glucosamine contributes to the health and regeneration of joint cartilage, while meloxicam acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), relieving pain and reducing inflammation associated with these conditions. This medication can be useful in managing symptoms such as stiffness, swelling, and limited movement in affected joints.
Composition
Each sachet contains: 1500 mg of glucosamine and 15 mg of meloxicam. Excipients: lactose, citric acid, among others.
Contraindications
Novovartalon should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, severe renal failure, severe hepatic failure, and in those who experience adverse reactions to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, asthma, and in those who are being treated with anticoagulants or diuretics. Regular medical monitoring is suggested during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
