Indications

Novotiral is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism, as well as in the treatment of certain forms of goiter. It is also used in hormone replacement therapy in patients with thyroid dysfunction. It is particularly useful in cases where precise control of thyroid hormones is required, due to its combination of levothyroxine sodium and liothyronine. Levothyroxine is a synthetic analog of thyroxine (T4), while liothyronine is a synthetic analog of triiodothyronine (T3). This combination allows for more efficient regulation of hormone levels in the body, thereby improving metabolism and overall body function. In addition, Novotiral can be used to suppress thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) production in patients with thyroid cancer, as well as in the treatment of thyroid-related disorders.

Composition

Each Novotiral tablet contains 100 mcg of Levothyroxine Sodium and 20 mcg of Liothyronine.

Contraindications

Novotiral is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of untreated acute myocardial infarction, subacute thyroiditis, and in conditions of untreated adrenal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Novotiral in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and in those receiving anticoagulant therapy. Adequate monitoring of hormone levels and dose adjustment as needed are important. Use during pregnancy or lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
