Indications

Norutec is indicated for the treatment of various gastrointestinal conditions, including, but not limited to:

  • Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
  • Gastroesophageal reflux.
  • Erosive esophagitis associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease.
  • Prevention of gastric ulcers induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Ilaprazole acts as a proton pump inhibitor, reducing acid production in the stomach, which contributes to the healing of gastric mucosa and improves symptoms related to excess acid.

Composition

Each Norutec tablet contains:

  • Ilaprazole: 20 mg.
  • Excipients: a sufficient quantity to obtain the pharmaceutical form.

Contraindications

Norutec is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Known hypersensitivity to Ilaprazole or any of the excipients in the formula.
  • Patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in the following cases:

  • Patients with a history of severe liver or kidney problems.
  • Concomitant use with medications that affect hepatic metabolism.
  • In case of unusual gastrointestinal symptoms, the possibility of malignancy should be considered.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
