Indications
Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) is indicated for the treatment of breast cancer in women who have been diagnosed with hormone-dependent tumors. This medication is used in patients with advanced disease, as well as in those who have received surgery and/or radiotherapy. It is also indicated for the prevention of breast cancer in women at high risk of developing this disease. Tamoxifen acts as a selective estrogen receptor modulator, blocking the action of estrogen in breast cells, which results in the inhibition of tumor growth. Additionally, it has been used in the treatment of gynecomastia in men and in cases of infertility in women due to ovulatory dysfunctions.
Composition
Each Nolvadex tablet contains 20 mg of Tamoxifen (as Tamoxifen citrate) as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Nolvadex is not recommended for use in patients with hypersensitivity to Tamoxifen or any of the excipients. It is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Furthermore, it should be avoided in patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or those with a history of uterine neoplasms.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, as Tamoxifen is metabolized in the liver. Adequate monitoring is recommended in patients who experience unexpected vaginal bleeding or changes in their menstrual pattern. Ocular health should also be monitored, as cases of cataracts have been reported in patients treated with Tamoxifen.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
