Indications
Nilamsel is indicated for the treatment of hepatobiliary diseases, specifically in cases of primary biliary cirrhosis and cholestasis. It is also used for the dissolution of cholesterol gallstones in patients who are candidates for cholecystectomy and in those with preserved biliary function. Its mechanism of action is based on reducing cholesterol production and promoting bile flow, which results in improved liver function and reduced gallstone formation. Additionally, it has been used in the treatment of cystic fibrosis and in the management of certain pediatric liver diseases.
Composition
Each Nilamsel capsule contains 250 mg of ursodeoxycholic acid as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as gelatin, glycerin, and other additives necessary for the capsule formulation.
Contraindications
Nilamsel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ursodeoxycholic acid or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in cases of active liver disease, such as acute hepatitis or severe liver failure. It is also contraindicated in patients with complete biliary obstruction or in those with calcified gallstones.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Nilamsel to patients with biliary tract diseases or those with a history of gastrointestinal pathology. Liver function should be monitored periodically during treatment. It is important to consider interactions with other medications, as well as the possibility of adverse effects in case of overdose.

Store in a dry, cool place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
