Indications
Nexium Mups is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive acid production in the stomach. It is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults and children over 1 year of age, where healing of erosive esophagitis is required. It is also indicated for the prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients requiring treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Additionally, it is used in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, as part of a treatment regimen for peptic ulcers.
Composition
Each tablet contains 40 mg of esomeprazole (as esomeprazole magnesium).
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with severe liver disease and in those receiving long-term treatment. During the use of esomeprazole, tests for gastric cancer detection should be considered in patients with persistent symptoms. Additionally, monitoring for the appearance of gastrointestinal symptoms that may indicate a more serious problem is suggested.

Store the product at room temperature, in a dry place and protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
