Indications
Nexium Mups 20 mg is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excess stomach acid. Its indications include:
- Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults and children over 1 year of age.
- Short-term treatment of erosive esophagitis caused by acid reflux.
- Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Composition
Each Nexium Mups 20 mg tablet contains 20 mg of esomeprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, among others.
Contraindications
Nexium Mups is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver disease, as well as in those with a history of osteoporosis, as it may increase the risk of fractures. In addition, the possibility of gastric cancer should be assessed before starting treatment, especially in patients with persistent symptoms of dyspepsia.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
