Indications
Naxzalla is indicated as an adjunct to diet for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and triglyceride levels in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. This medication is also indicated for reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease or those with multiple risk factors. It is suggested that Naxzalla be used in conjunction with lifestyle changes, such as a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, as well as regular exercise.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Ezetimibe 10 mg and Rosuvastatin 10 mg.
Contraindications
Naxzalla is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formula, as well as in those with active liver disease or persistent elevations of liver transaminases. It should not be administered in combination with certain medications that may increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney failure, or who consume excessive alcohol. It is important to monitor liver function before and during treatment with Naxzalla. Likewise, it is recommended to assess the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis in patients receiving high doses of rosuvastatin or taking other medications that may increase this risk.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
