Indications
Napicil is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia in adults, in combination with an appropriate diet. It is used in patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in combination with other lipid-lowering treatments or as monotherapy, when diet and other treatments are not sufficient. Additionally, it is indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes mellitus, with associated risk factors.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Atorvastatin 40 mg and Ezetimibe 10 mg. Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
Napicil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or persistent elevations of transaminases, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should not be administered to patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those who are undergoing treatment with other medications that may increase the risk of toxicity. Regular monitoring of transaminases should be performed in patients treated with Napicil.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
