Indications
Nadinkel is a medication indicated for the treatment of central diabetes insipidus, a condition characterized by the body's inability to regulate water excretion through urine. It is also used in the management of certain types of bleeding, such as bleeding in patients with von Willebrand disease and hemophilia A, due to its ability to stimulate the release of von Willebrand factor and factor VIII. This medication acts as a vasopressin analog, helping to reduce urine production and improve fluid retention in the body.
Composition
Each mL of Nadinkel contains 0.09 mg of desmopressin, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to desmopressin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with severe renal insufficiency or in cases of syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Nadinkel to patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, as it may increase fluid retention. It is important to monitor serum sodium concentration and renal function during treatment. Use in patients with a history of seizures is not recommended, as it may increase the risk of seizure events.
