Indications
Myrbetric is indicated for the treatment of overactive bladder in adults. This condition is characterized by symptoms such as urinary urgency, increased urinary frequency, and urge urinary incontinence. Mirabegron, the active ingredient, acts as a selective β3-adrenergic receptor agonist, which contributes to the relaxation of the detrusor muscle during the bladder filling phase, thereby improving storage capacity and reducing urinary urgency. It is important to make an adequate diagnosis and consider other causes that may be contributing to the patient's symptoms before initiating treatment.
Composition
Each Myrbetric tablet contains 25 mg of Mirabegron as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients necessary for the formulation, which ensure the stability and efficacy of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mirabegron or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of urinary retention, severe renal insufficiency, or in patients with a history of uncontrolled hypertension. It is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, unless considered strictly necessary.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of hypertension, as Mirabegron may cause an increase in blood pressure. Care should also be taken in patients with heart disease or those taking medications that may interact with Mirabegron. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is suggested during treatment.
Storage
Store Myrbetric at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
