Indications
Myfungar 1% cream is indicated for the treatment of dermal infections caused by fungi, including dermatomycosis such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and cutaneous candidiasis. Its antifungal action is due to the inhibition of ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, resulting in the death of the pathogen's cells. It is effective against various dermatophyte fungi and yeasts, and is used in the treatment of skin lesions that present with itching, redness, and flaking.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Oxiconazole 1 g. Excipients: liquid paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, sorbitan stearate, and purified water.
Contraindications
Myfungar cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxiconazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended on extensive areas of the skin or on mucous membranes.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when applying Myfungar cream to sensitive areas or open lesions. In case of irritation or adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
