Indications

Musimir is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and active Crohn's disease. Mesalazine acts locally in the intestine, helping to reduce inflammation and control symptoms associated with these conditions, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rectal bleeding. It is important that the use of Musimir is supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage for each patient, based on the severity of the disease and the response to treatment. Its use is particularly relevant in maintaining remission in patients with ulcerative colitis, helping to prevent relapses.

Composition

Contraindications

Musimir is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mesalazine or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with severe renal insufficiency or those with a history of severe allergic reactions to sulfonamides.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, as the use of mesalazine may affect renal function. Periodic monitoring of renal function is recommended during treatment. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, as the medication may induce asthmatic crises in some sensitive individuals.
