Indications
Mucosolvan is a medication indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases that involve excessive mucus production, such as chronic bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Its mucolytic action facilitates the elimination of bronchial secretions, improving respiratory function and relieving symptoms like productive cough. Mucosolvan can also be used in the treatment of acute respiratory infections where there is difficulty in expectoration due to the viscosity of the sputum.
Composition
Each 100 ml of solution contains: Ambroxol hydrochloride 300 mg. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride and others.
Contraindications
Mucosolvan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers and in those with severe liver or kidney dysfunction.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Likewise, the use of Mucosolvan in pregnant and breastfeeding women should only be considered under strict medical supervision. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to be aware of the appearance of adverse reactions.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the product in its original packaging and away from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
