Indications
Mucoangin is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions where a mucolytic and expectorant effect is required. It is especially useful in the management of productive cough associated with conditions such as bronchitis and other chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. Its action is based on reducing mucus viscosity, facilitating its elimination and improving breathing. Furthermore, it can be used as an adjuvant in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory infections where sputum production is significant.
Composition
Each lozenge contains 20 mg of Ambroxol as the active ingredient. Excipients: sugars, flavorings, and other inactive components that allow for the lozenge formulation.
Contraindications
Mucoangin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or any of the excipients in the formula. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcer or conditions that may predispose to gastrointestinal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of seizures. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a doctor. Prolonged use without medical supervision is recommended to be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
