Indications
Mucoangin (Ambroxol) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases that involve mucus production, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Its mucolytic and expectorant action facilitates the elimination of secretions in the respiratory tract, improving pulmonary ventilation and the patient's well-being. Furthermore, it is used in the treatment of disorders related to mucus production, contributing to the fluidification of sputum and facilitating its expulsion. It can also be useful in the pre- and postoperative periods of thoracic surgeries, as well as in the management of patients with tracheostomy.
Composition
Each Mucoangin lozenge contains 20 mg of Ambroxol as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Mucoangin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcer or in those with severe renal insufficiency without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastric or duodenal ulcer, as well as in those with liver diseases. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Respiratory function should be assessed in patients with chronic lung diseases before starting treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
