Indications

Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. This medication is used in combination with an appropriate diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients who have not achieved their glycemic control goals with other antidiabetic medications. Tirzepatide acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist and also has actions on the GIP receptor, which contributes to glucose regulation and weight reduction. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is recommended and therapy should be adjusted as needed.

Composition

Each ampoule contains: 5 mg of Tirzepatide, excipients necessary for the formulation of the product.

Contraindications

Mounjaro is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to tirzepatide or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis or gastrointestinal diseases.

Precautions

Renal function evaluation is recommended before starting treatment with Mounjaro. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases. It is suggested not to use in combination with other GLP-1 agonists or insulin. It is important to inform the patient about the signs and symptoms of pancreatitis and the need to seek medical attention if they occur.

Storage

Store in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep the vial in its original packaging to protect it from light. Once opened, it can be used according to the doctor's instructions.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
