Indications

Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) is indicated as a treatment for type 2 diabetes in adults. Its use is part of a comprehensive approach that includes an adequate diet and physical activity. This medication helps improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes by acting on GLP-1 and GIP receptors, which promotes insulin secretion and reduces glucose production in the liver. In addition, it has been shown to contribute to weight reduction in overweight or obese patients with this condition.

Composition

Each Mounjaro pen contains 5 mg of Tirzepatide. Excipients include: water for injection, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, and hydrochloric acid to adjust pH.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Tirzepatide or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with type 1 diabetes or for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis, severe renal or hepatic disease, as well as those who are being treated with other hypoglycemic medications. It is essential to adequately monitor blood glucose and adjust doses as needed.

Storage

Store at a temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C (refrigerated) and protect from light. Do not freeze. Once in use, the pen can be stored at room temperature (up to 30 °C) for a maximum of 21 days.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
