Indications

Motrin 400 mg Coated Tablet is indicated for the treatment of various conditions involving pain and/or inflammation. It is used in the management of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, muscle pain, dental pain, and menstrual pain. It is also effective in treating fever associated with infections and other conditions. Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain. Its use is recommended in patients requiring symptomatic relief in acute or chronic conditions, under medical supervision.

Composition

Each Motrin coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.

Contraindications

Motrin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any other component of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of active gastric or intestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, severe renal failure, or in patients who have experienced adverse reactions to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Its use during the third trimester of pregnancy is also not recommended.

Precautions

It is important to assess renal and hepatic function before initiating treatment. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, or gastrointestinal disorders. Prolonged use may increase the risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal events. It should be used with caution in the elderly and in patients with chronic diseases.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
