Indications
Motrin is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, as well as for fever reduction in various conditions. It is used in the management of symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. It can also be used for the relief of postoperative pain, menstrual pain, and dental pain.
Composition
Each tablet contains 800 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Additionally, it may contain excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others, which facilitate the formulation and presentation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Motrin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to people with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe renal failure. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, liver diseases, or gastrointestinal disorders. It is important to evaluate renal function before starting treatment, especially in elderly patients or those with pre-existing conditions. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
