Indications
Montaclar is indicated for the treatment and prevention of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 2 years of age and older. It is also indicated for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 months of age and older. This medication works by blocking leukotriene receptors and the action of histamine, which helps reduce inflammation and allergic symptoms such as sneezing, nasal itching, runny nose, and watery eyes.
Composition
Each Montaclar tablet contains:
- Montelukast 10 mg
- Loratadine 10 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Montaclar to patients with a history of seizures or those taking other medications that may affect the central nervous system. It is important to perform medical follow-up if the patient develops new symptoms or a worsening of symptoms during treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
