Indications

Monocorat Depot is indicated for the treatment and prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain) in patients with coronary artery disease. It is also used in the management of congestive heart failure, as well as in situations of pulmonary hypertension. Isosorbide mononitrate's action is based on its ability to dilate blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow and reducing the load on the heart.

Composition

Each Monocorat Depot tablet contains 50 mg of isosorbide mononitrate as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isosorbide mononitrate or other nitrates. It should not be administered to patients with severe anemia, hypotension, or those who have recently suffered a myocardial infarction. Furthermore, its use is contraindicated in cases of closed-angle glaucoma and in combination with phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when used in patients with arterial hypertension, hypothyroidism, or those who are undergoing treatment with other medications that may interact. Regular medical follow-up is recommended to monitor the response to treatment and adjust the dose if necessary. Elderly individuals may be more susceptible to the effects of this medication.

Storage

Monocorat Depot should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
