Indications

Momate Ointment 1%/5% is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions requiring anti-inflammatory and keratolytic action. It is used in the management of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions. The combination of mometasone, a corticosteroid, with salicylic acid, a keratolytic agent, allows for a reduction in inflammation and promotes desquamation of affected areas, facilitating the recovery of affected skin. This medication is indicated for use in adults and children over 2 years of age under medical supervision.

Composition

Each 100 g of ointment contains: Mometasone (1 g) and Salicylic Acid (5 g). Excipients: petrolatum, lanolin, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, skin infections, cutaneous tuberculosis, herpes simplex, and chickenpox. It should not be applied to areas with open or bleeding lesions.

Precautions

Momate Ointment should be used with caution in patients with skin infections, as prolonged use may mask symptoms of infections. Its use on large areas or for prolonged periods without medical evaluation should be avoided. Likewise, caution should be exercised in its use in patients with systemic conditions that may be exacerbated by corticosteroids.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
