Indications

Minocycline is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is effective in the treatment of respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain gastrointestinal infections. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris, as well as in the treatment of certain periodontal infections. It is important that the use of this medication be under medical supervision, as its effectiveness depends on the sensitivity of the involved pathogen and the patient's health status.

Composition

Each capsule contains:

  • Minocycline (as minocycline hydrochloride) - 50 mg
  • Excipients: starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Minocycline is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to minocycline, tetracyclines, or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children under 8 years of age due to the risk of tooth discoloration and effects on bone development.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with minocycline. Medical follow-up during treatment is essential to evaluate the response to the medication and detect any possible adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
