Indications
Minirin (Desmopressin) is indicated for the treatment of central diabetes insipidus, a condition in which the body does not produce enough antidiuretic hormone (ADH). It is also used in the management of nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) in children over 5 years of age who have not responded to other forms of treatment. Additionally, it can be used as part of the preparation for certain diagnostic tests, such as the glucose tolerance test, in patients who experience increased urine production.
Composition
Each Minirin tablet contains 178 mcg of desmopressin and excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Minirin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desmopressin or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in those with severe renal insufficiency and in conditions that can lead to fluid retention, such as syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Minirin to patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, or those at risk of dehydration. It is important to monitor fluid intake and urine output during treatment. Use is not recommended in patients with a history of seizures, as desmopressin may increase the risk of epileptic seizures in these cases.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
