Indications
Microlax is indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation. This medication acts as a fast-acting laxative, facilitating bowel evacuation. Its use is recommended in situations where rapid evacuation is required, such as before surgical or diagnostic procedures involving the intestine. Additionally, it can be useful in patients who experience difficulty evacuating due to specific conditions or in those who require imminent evacuation.
Composition
Each microenema contains: Sodium citrate 90 mg and Lauryl sulfoacetate.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, or in patients with severe inflammatory bowel diseases. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe kidney problems or significant electrolyte disturbances.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, kidney failure, or those being treated with diuretics. It is important to follow the instructions for use and not exceed the recommended dose, as excessive use can lead to electrolyte imbalances and laxative dependence.
