Indications
Micardis Duo is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. The combination of telmisartan and amlodipine acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure, thereby improving hypertension control. Its use is recommended in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy or when more intensive treatment is required. This medication can be part of a treatment regimen that includes lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Composition
Each Micardis Duo tablet contains 80 mg of telmisartan and 5 mg of amlodipine. Excipients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate, among other components that facilitate product formulation.
Contraindications
Micardis Duo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to telmisartan, amlodipine, or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment, pregnancy, and lactation, as well as in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis or stenosis in a single functional kidney.
Precautions
Special precautions should be taken in patients with a history of heart failure, mild to moderate liver disease, or those being treated with diuretics. It is important to monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light.
