Indications
Micardis Duo is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in patients who require the use of multiple antihypertensive agents to achieve adequate blood pressure control. This medication combines two potent active ingredients: Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. This combination allows for a significant reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, thus improving cardiovascular prognosis in hypertensive patients. Its use is recommended in patients who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy.
Composition
Each Micardis Duo tablet contains: 40 mg of Telmisartan and 5 mg of Amlodipine.
Contraindications
Micardis Duo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Amlodipine, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment or in individuals under 18 years of age.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal impairment, liver disease, or those receiving concomitant treatment with diuretics. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and renal function is important during treatment. Additionally, concomitant use with other antihypertensives should be avoided without adequate medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
