Indications
Metrocream is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions, including rosacea and other inflammatory skin conditions. The action of metronidazole, an antibacterial and antiparasitic agent, contributes to the reduction of inflammation and the improvement of associated symptoms, such as redness and skin irritation. Its topical application allows for rapid absorption into the skin, favoring the localized action of the medication.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains 0.75 g of metronidazole as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and application of the product.
Contraindications
Metrocream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metronidazole or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used on areas with severe skin lesions or in patients with a history of serious adverse reactions to drugs of the same class.
Precautions
It is recommended to use with caution in patients with neurological diseases, as metronidazole can cause adverse effects on the central nervous system. In addition, it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or ultraviolet radiation during treatment. It should not be applied to open wounds or mucous membranes.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
