Indications

Metotrop Gel is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal injuries, such as sprains, strains, tendonitis, and bursitis. Additionally, it is used to relieve pain in inflammatory conditions like arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as in the management of post-operative pain and trauma. Etofenamate acts by reducing inflammation and providing a local analgesic effect, which facilitates mobility and improves the quality of life of affected patients.

Composition

Each 100 g of Metotrop Gel contains 5 g of etofenamate as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the correct application of the product and promote its absorption through the skin.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etofenamate or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be applied to open wounds, mucous membranes, or areas with dermatitis or skin infections. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to other NSAIDs.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Metotrop Gel in patients with a history of asthma, allergic rhinitis, or any other condition that may predispose to allergic reactions. Sun exposure should be avoided in treated areas immediately after applying the gel. Concomitant use with other topical medications in the same application area is not recommended.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
