Indications
Mensifem is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, and mood swings. Cimicifuga racemosa has been used in traditional medicine to relieve these symptoms, providing a natural approach to managing menopausal discomfort. It is important to note that the effectiveness in reducing these symptoms may vary among patients, so adequate medical follow-up is recommended during treatment.
Composition
Each Mensifem tablet contains 20 mg of Cimicifuga racemosa. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Mensifem should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cimicifuga racemosa or any of the formulation's components. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with a history of hormone-dependent disorders, such as breast or endometrial cancer.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with liver diseases or a history of liver disorders, as rare cases of hepatotoxicity have been reported. Regular medical follow-up is important to assess the progress of the treatment and possible adverse effects. Additionally, patients are advised to inform their doctor about any other medications they are taking or pre-existing health conditions.
