Indications

Meladinina Ointment 0.40 g (Methoxsalen) is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions, including psoriasis and vitiligo. Its action is based on sensitizing the skin to ultraviolet radiation, which can facilitate repigmentation in cases of vitiligo and improve psoriatic lesions. This medication is generally used in combination with controlled UV light exposure, so it is essential to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the duration and frequency of application, as well as the phototherapy regimen to be followed.

Composition

Each gram of ointment contains 0.4 g of Methoxsalen as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its topical application.

Contraindications

Meladinina Ointment should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Methoxsalen or any of the product's excipients. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of skin cancer or active skin diseases that may be exacerbated by phototherapy.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of photosensitive diseases. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure during treatment and to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the use of the ointment and phototherapy. Its use is not recommended on areas of the skin with open or infected lesions.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature. Keep the product out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
