Indications
Manotrox (Granisetron) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in cancer patients. It is also used for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. Its mechanism of action is based on antagonizing 5-HT3 serotonin receptors, which helps reduce the central nervous system's activity related to these symptoms.
Composition
Each Manotrox ampoule contains 1 mg of Granisetron in 1 mL of injectable solution, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and preservation. It is recommended to consult the product labeling for detailed information on excipients.
Contraindications
Manotrox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Granisetron or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal obstruction or in individuals with a history of severe gastrointestinal problems without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Manotrox to patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as those who are being treated with medications that may prolong the QT interval. It is important to monitor patients with electrolyte disturbances, especially hypokalemia or hypomagnesemia, before and during treatment.
Storage
Manotrox ampoules should be stored at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze the product. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
