Indications
Macrozit Suspension is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to azithromycin. It is effective in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also used in skin and soft tissue infections, as well as urinary tract infections. This antibiotic is particularly useful in the treatment of Chlamydia trachomatis infections and for the prophylaxis of typhoid fever. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which results in the death of pathogenic bacteria.
Composition
Each 15 ml of Macrozit Suspension contains 600 mg of azithromycin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.
Contraindications
Macrozit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or severe liver problems.
Precautions
It is recommended to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment. In patients with renal dysfunction, dose reduction should be considered. Additionally, caution should be exercised when administering to patients with a history of heart problems, as azithromycin can prolong the QT interval. It is important to monitor patients who are taking other medications that may interact with azithromycin.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
